About Us

Where did we start?

Hello there and welcome! Having had a member of the family, Mo, who has been completely blind from a few months old, we realised as he was growing up how much help and support was needed in the visually impaired community. As he struggled over the years with many issues also faced by many visually impaired people today, he was getting more and more frustrated. Despite excellent family support there was not much specialist support available. Growing up, we had to help him with things like describing various documents and pictures that screen readers couldn’t access and describing computer components when building and repairing systems etc. We also worked out how to solve the problems that we encountered after a lot of frustration, tenacity and hard work!!

As time went on and we faced more and more advanced problems, Mo's brother Omar then decided to do a degree in Computer Science to further his knowledge and interest. Our experience in solving issues grew immensely. From repairing computers, recovering data to using Linux and Windows, we started building up a very substantial skill set.

It was at this point, as we became more knowledgeable, we were contacted by people in the visually impaired community with regards to solving their problems. Most of the repairs were done “remotely”. This is where we can connect to your computer from our computer and repair your problems by controlling your mouse and keyboard, but the user is still in full control at all times and can see and hear all that is being done. Also mobile technology, such as smartphones and tablets started becoming more and more accessible for the visually impaired. Even people from around the world were contacting us over the phone, via email and over Skype! We managed to help them very successfully and had a huge amount of praise and lovely feedback for our high level of expertise and, as they have told us, an extremely caring and efficient attitude.

We decided to start a business because we really wanted to share our years of experience and knowledge to help visually impaired people all over the world reach their full potential, and wanted them to understand that technology wasn’t something to feel intimidated by. We felt passionate about helping visually impaired people with issues that they couldn’t solve and really wanted to help teach people how to make the most of modern technology. Customer satisfaction is our main priority and it's so nice to have made some lovely friends along the way! We always look forward to hearing from new customers. All information you provide is held in the strictest confidence and will not be passed on to any third party.

We do not store credit card details.

All orders you place will be despatched via royal mail or DPD and will usually reach you within 3 to 5 working days. When placing your order, we will advise you of the service we are using to send your parcel. You will receive an automated email from our systems when your order has been despatched.

ViTech Solutions complies with all trading legislation covering consumer protection, distance selling and electronic commerce regulations. Therefore, you have the right to cancel your order before we have despatched the goods or within fourteen days of receipt. Once we have received the items back in their original condition we will refund you within 3 to 5 working days.

There are exceptions to returning some items, so please carefully check the full description of the product to check any special conditions that may apply. You will need to take care of the goods while they are in your possession, and return them to us safely in a complete and saleable condition at your own expense. Assuming the products are received in a saleable condition and are undamaged, we will then refund you within 3 to 5 working days of receiving the products back from you.
