I first got to know the people at ViTech solutions through the BCAB mailing list and they gave my partner’s PC one of their PC tune-ups remotely and she was thrilled with the results.
Mo and the team are always happy to chat to anyone about any issue concerning technology. When my own reserve PC started flagging and duly failed completely, Mo gave me a great deal of his objective, expert advice and patiently talked me through all my various options to get it going again. He was happy to recycle all the components from my old PC, which still had plenty of life in them. He never tried to sell me a replacement part if I didn’t need one. He arranged for my PC to be picked up from my home and once ready again to be shipped back to me. Everything happened swiftly and smoothly; all I had to do was to print out and secure the address labels onto the PC box once it was packed up.
I was kept fully up-to-date on the status of the repairs by email and where necessary on the phone by Mo himself. The turn-around times are very fast and the pricing policy including that for carriage is extremely reasonable. Once I’d received my PC back and it had been reconnected, I was absolutely amazed by the results and the high quality of both the replacement components and the standard of workmanship by the team. It was wonderful to have a reliable, efficient reserve PC back in use again and it’s still running like a dream many months later.

I have over the years spent many hours trying to get the print to fall in the right place on CD labels, without success! After I had purchased and downloaded the VVITS label printing software for printing articles for the blind labels and found it to be excellent, I contacted vits.org.uk and asked them if they could write me some custom software for my CD labelling problems. They soon came back with the work completed and at a very reasonable cost, and my problems are now at an end, the programme works perfectly and I am so impressed.

When I decided that I wished to downsize my computer and desk space I obtained a laptop from VTS. From start to finish I couldn't have received more help. I was talked through almost everything and I chose to get help remotely which saved a lot of headache on my part. Nothing was too much trouble and if they didn't know how to do something they found out and dsorted it for you. It is all done at your convenience and you are asked about the product before it is shipped to you.
I would recommend them to anybody. the service is excellent and you don't get anything you don't want or need. Nothing is forced upon you and there is no hard sell so you do not feel obliged to buy which is excellent.

Having had two computers supplied by apparently VI-savvy companies from my university fund I found myself again requiring a computer which was built for the tasks I was to undertake. This lead me to VITS and my world was changed. I had a good chat with the team who bent over backwards to ensure I got precisely what I wanted. I have a machine which can probably cook my dinner while I am out and about. VITS installed my software as required and set it up how I wanted so once
I plugged it in it was up and running in minutes. All I needed to do was register my copy of Jaws. Following on from that I have purchased a really cool second hand netbook with solid state drive so I have the best possible lightweight computability while I am away from home. Then I got another smaller PC for my bedroom as I was going to be spending a lot of time in bed getting over my operation and VITS listened to what I wanted, asked some questions and a box arrived after a few pounds had left my bank account. I have also received training and support whenever required and the guys have come to my rescue over and again. Not just computers though. VITS set up and prepared an Android handset for me to do my daily phone stuff and have given me lots of training with that too. It is some years now since I first came to know one of the software technician sat VTS. I had a problem with my Windows XP machine which was rectified in minutes!!! I gave my permission for Remote Access as I had total trust in my technician having observed the extent of his IT knowledge and skills on e-mail forums. I have never looked back and although the company specifies that it specialises in assistive technology, I have referred many sighted people who have been delighted to have their computers restored to full working order. What has amazed me is that even my old PowerBraille 40 Braille Display which the manufacturers state will not work with Windows 7 on machines without a parallel port, a team member at VITS has now got it working with my Windows 10 machine with the NVDA free screen reader!!! I have referred friends for tuition via remote access and/or Skype or telephone. Tuition sessions are (on request) followed-up with notes in the customer’s preferred medium and has included Braille, electronic and audio as well as large print. I now take all my queries to VTS, be it a computer issue, a mobile phone, or smart phone problem and always come away totally satisfied with the service I have received. Contacting the team is made very easy by e-mail, telephone or mobile and all communications are responded to within an hour or less. I purchased a laptop, stating my own specifications and my particular software preferences and had this shipped to me in Ireland within days and at a very reasonable shipping cost. IT support via e-mail or telephone is also readily available. There is always a follow-up courtesy call or email after the purchase of equipment to ensure that it is all in working order. It is sometimes necessary to make some adjustments once the equipment has arrived at the customer’s home or place of work. In rating the service, I would give it 5 stars! extremely satisfied, keep up the excellent standard of work. don't hold back, contact the VTS team today!
